We are delighted to announce that at last night’s PR Week Awards dinner, Portland won its category and was named PR Week’s 2012 Mid-Sized Consultancy of the Year.
The award is recognition of the work Portland delivers for clients – from blue-chip multinationals and high-profile individuals, to global foundations and national campaign organisations – and reflects the strength of advice and support we have been able to offer in 2012.
We have had quite a year. We celebrated our 10th anniversary, and have now grown to 90 staff across three global offices. We joined the Omnicom Group, significantly strengthening the scale and reach we can offer. Alastair Campbell, James O’Shaughnessy, and Jimmy Leach joined our team to provide strategic advice and counsel to our clients.
We are just as proud of our retention of staff. We continued our unbroken record with no member of staff leaving for a rival agency. In addition, more than 30 new clients joined us.
It was fantastic to hear the judging panel – made up of both leading agency figures, and communications and media directors from some of Britain’s largest companies – describe Portland as:
