James is a communications professional with over a decade of experience providing strategic consultancy and crisis comms support to clients.

He has been based in Doha, Qatar since 2019 and joined Portland from the UK government where he was Head of Strategic Communications in the Cabinet Office.

James was a previous MediaWeek 30 under 30 winner and has advised governments and corporate clients on a range of complex issues including countering disinformation and delivering national communications campaigns.
