Internship Programme
Portland offers exciting paid internship opportunities to students and recent graduates, and we are open to receiving applications from interested candidates from all educational backgrounds. The Portland internship offers the opportunity to participate in real work such as research, writing, media-monitoring and event co-ordination. The internship programme varies in length and is usually offered for a period of six weeks to three months. Interns in the UK are paid £76.92 as a daily flat rate, which comes to approximately £20,000 per annum, and they are entitled to annual leave and accrue holidays on a pro-rata basis.
Apprentice Programme
Portland’s apprenticeship scheme aims to provide driven, bright individuals the opportunity to train in the workplace rather than go to university, and is open to anyone who is interested in growing a career in PR. Apprentices will be given experience within Corporate Communications, PR, Social Media Campaigns, Digital Marketing/Design, Event Management, and Business Administration. The contract for an apprentice is a minimum of 12 months and, dependent on performance and vacancy availability, apprentices will have the opportunity to become permanent employees at Portland.
