Jim Lake

Jim joins Portland as Partner to lead the Washington DC office. Jim brings more than three decades of executive leadership experience, in both the private and public sectors, in designing, managing, and executing successful strategic communications and public affairs initiatives.  

Previously, Jim served as a high-ranking U.S. government official in the Reagan and Bush Administrations at the U.S. Department of Commerce. He maintains extensive political and campaign experience having served as a senior team member on several national presidential campaigns, four national political conventions and at the White House.  

Jim has led the public affairs divisions for some of the world’s largest public relations firms handling domestic and international client issues from around the globe.
