Tied in with the other major events taking place in New York right now is Climate Week NYC (22-28 September). Yesterday saw one of the week’s key moments – the UN Climate Summit – sparking even greater discussion of #climatechange on Twitter (including the Summit’s #Climate2014)
As would be expected with such a global issue, has spread around the world over the past month, with key centres of discussion in New York, DC, London, Stockholm, New Delhi and Jakarta.
In order to build a better understanding of how the Twitter discussion around the UN Climate Summit itself has developed, we’ve put together a basic timeline of some of the most popular tweets using #Climate2014. As may perhaps be expected, the conversation has been heavily driven by tweets from official organisations working in this space, as well as a few well-timed celebrity endorsements.
